I can remember it like it was just yesterday on July 9,2015 that my son was swearing in and we had a year until he left for boot camp. Now here it is today and we only have 76 days until he leaves on July 5,2016. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. He graduates from high school next month and then we are going to go on a last family camping trip before he leaves. This is my oldest son. His brother is 11 and I think is having a hard time knowing that his brother will be leaving soon. They are 6.5 yrs apart and so have been as close as they can being that far apart in ages but now my 11 yr old is acting out and making sure that he always has his brothers attention and not in the nicest way either. It really gets to me but I have to calmly say to myself that he doesn't want to show feelings so this is what he is doing. Its driving my Depper crazy lol :) I am new to all of this and can't believe its already time for my oldest to leave. Any ideas that you may have to help me with my youngest through this would be great. Also anything you can recommend or any help adjusting to all of this even as a family so this mom doesn't go crazy is great. I am already having mommy emotional moments as I call them and my poor husband is doing so great at helping me out the best he can. :) We are have my sons Anchor Aweigh party next month in May the weekend before he graduates that way we can go have a couple family trips before he leaves. :)
Thank you for listening :)
