My daughter left for boot camp on 3/27/17.  I had the initial call that night that she had made it.  I received her box a couple of days later but I still haven't received the form letter with an address.  I have a lot of questions.

Hi there! My daughter is still in BC now, she arrived on Feb 21st.  The form letter should come to you about 7-10 days after you receive the box so your form letter might be coming to you later on this week,  What other questions do you have?

I guess most of my questions are... How is she?  Is she lonely? Is she eating enough? Those worrying mom type of questions.

My daughter left for boot camp also that week. She left on March 27th and I am still waiting for the box. I am feeling and wondering all the same things you are.

my son just left for boot camp today, but before he left he said to contact his recruiter on Friday and that he could give me his address...not sure how much truth there is to that, but I plan on trying it.  Not sure if you have tried that....total newbie here....

My daughter tild me the same thing about calling for her address but everything I have read says to wait for the letter. I gueas we wait a few more days. Just very anxious as I am sure we all are.

NAVYMOM88 and Momma'sGirl,

Yes, the recruiter that processed your sailor is can access the RTC website and get the ship/div of your sailor.  The reason they say wait for a few days is because until they finish their processing days, they will not be assigned.  I know it is rare, but in my case I never received my form letter.  If I didn't have the address from the recruiter I would have had to wait until I got her first letter!!!

My son left on the 29th of this month. I have not received his box or letter at this time. I just keep waiting.
