YAY!!! got my form letter today with all the official info & PIR date...super excited & great to here from my son, even though it was only a few lines.  Best line "Love you all!"  yes with an explanation point too!  He had a few instructions for us to handle for him, makes me wonder how he's handling instructions?  He's pretty independent & in my opinion would make a great instructor for future new SR...LOL. Already made our reservations & cannot wait to head up to GL for graduation day.  Keeping myself super busy with work & reading everything on this website.  Well gonna go & write another letter & try to contain myself for the next 48:09:41....that's 48 days:9 hours:41 minutes....yes, i am counting the days down :)

Hang in there!!! the letter will be next!!! this site has been a wealth of info & comfort for me.  Start writing your letters, that has been helpful for me too.  Everyday I have put together something about what is going on around here since we are not able to call or text.  My sister's son just finished up basic with the AirForce & she always had a steno pad with her so she could write down what she wanted to remember to write about later.  I thought that was such a good idea.

the grad date will be in that form letter along with his address & division number. There is a lot of info on this site regarding graduation (PIR) you can check it out here http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pirreferenceinformation

there will also be a PIR group that will form with your son's grad date, join when you get your date. the groups can be found on this site too http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date

the grad date should be 8 full weeks after you son left

Yes, my Daughter left Tuesday as well and we also got the box yesterday. Everything she took with her was in the box along with a piece of paper that said "I Love you" I'm sure she took that upon herself !!
