Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

Please read through the discussions before posting any questions. In addition, do not post the questions as a discussion.
You can also use the search function in Forums or blogs to see what has been posted previously over the last two years. Most likely your questions will not be unique. But we are all here to help if you can't find the answer on your own.
Good luck at PIR. Thank your sailor for us. We appreciate his service to our country.
Proud803Mom,
After you joined the above PIR group, you'll see the list the members on the right hand side. Some will have the ship and div number next to their names. Others you may have to go to their profiles. Click on their photos, then click "Add as friend" if you want to add her/him as a friend.
Within this group, you'll have much in common. It's always nice to have a few friends with whom you can communicate and vent on a more private basis - but not totally necessary. Because you are playing catch up at this point, be sure to post a comment in the group after you join.
Please join your PIR group ASAP. There should be a link to the Meet and Greet on Thursday (Click on Events on menubar and click Feb 10).
