For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Does anyone have a spouse in the military who acts like they are better than them since they enlisted?

Looking around this site I've noticed nothing but positivity which is great! I was nothing short of proud of my husband when he joined the navy, graduated boot camp, graduated A school and is about to start respiratory tech C school. Although not all can and will be good; especially for the wife, who in my opinion has the hardest job of all. A couple of months after joining I've started to see subtle changes in him. Before he enlisted he and I were both in college, high school sweethearts etc and everything was fine, but now everything has changed. After boot camp his A school was at Fort Sam Houston, not long after, me and our 6 month old at the time moved there as well. I know absolutely no one in Texas whereas my husband naturally had the camaraderie of his fellow classmates. When he's at school its just me and our daughter in the apartment, and I look forward to the weekends when he comes home. Yet he comes home with this attitude that he is better and smarter than me because he is in school and I'm not, talking to me as if I'm beneath him. We just found out that we will not be here long enough for me to start back school and the thought of online school would drive me insane. I have been looking for work but no luck yet. I'll ask him to change our daughter's diaper and he asks me "REALLY??" as if he shouldn't have to do things like that. Has anyone else had the experience of the spouse acting like the are better than they are? Sorry for the long schpeel just had to vent.
