Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I wake today in the early morn
My thoughts consumed with my first born.
He’s hard at work at Navy Recruit Training Command
I miss him so, he will never understand.
His voice, his charm and his big heart,
Are with me as each day starts.
His big blue eyes and awesome smile,
I carry with me all the while.
No call, no mail, no contact yet.
But today is a day we will never forget.
It pains me that you are away
For the very first time on your birthday.
I know that you will make it through
And not let anyone see it bothers you.
I hope you know deep down inside,
That your family is so full of pride.
And though we cannot be there today
We all send you a Happy Birthday.
Smile and keep your head held high
We have to be strong, both you and I.
You to endure the challenges you face,
And me managing my heart’s empty space.
So as this special day plays out,
And no one there notices what it’s all about.
Your family’s love is in your heart
On your birthday, although we are apart.
I Love you so, my dear son, Zach,
And cannot help but want you back.
So pray I will, and cry I might,
That before you lay your head tonight,
You cherish the blessings from God above
And feel your mother’s never ending Love.

When my SR was in boot camp on his birthday I posted birthday wishes on his Facebook page for him to read later. It was also his first away
