FTLW is looking for someone to start the group for that PIR date.  Watch for info on it in Boot Camp Mom's

Know that divisions 339 and 340 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.

Hi Kylesmom, my daughter left here on 21 August and her recruiter told me she's on Ship 11 Div 340. Maybe sister companies? Is PIR on 10/19? I had calculated 10/26 if you count 9 weeks.

Izzy, even though your daughter is in an integrated division (males and females) the divisions are called "brother divisions" and the females from the 2 divisions bunk together and the males bunk together. If you count 9 Fridays, then you get 10/19/2012 as the expected PIR date if your recruit is at the RTC the typical 8 1/2 weeks. You should be receiving the form letter soon. If you have not done so already, double-check the address the recruiter gave you against those at http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp since recruiters sometimes give a generic address for the RTC and if the street address is not correct, it can delay mail for up to 3 weeks.

Hi, Kylesmom and Izzy.  My daughter Jas also left on 8/21.  Her recruiter called me back around 6 and he told me that she's in Ship 11 Div 340, but no PIR date yet.  I'm glad that our kids our training together.  I can't wait to received any kind of contact from her.  Missing her so much, but they're all good kids and they are in good hands.

Have a nice evening.  Take care.
