Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Form letter response

Hi Ladies,

I so appreciate all your help in navigating this new chapter in our family's life.

So I've received the phone call saying "I am here and okay" and we got the box last Friday with a form in it explaining his address, ship number and PIR date. The one issues is that he didn't put any names down on the page to list invited guests. I filled it out but it says he needs to sign it.

Any idea what I should do?

Also, is there ever a chance to get more tickets? While I live in California ,my family is all still living in Illinois and they really want to come, too.

Comment by ellen0502 on August 2, 2018 at 5:58am: Once you have completed the Security Access Form you are to mail it back to your recruit. Your recruit signs it and turns it in. Only the names in the Security Access Form will be allowed into graduation. There is no way to get extra tickets, and no extra guests are allowed.

The family in Illinois is welcome to come to Great Lakes and watch graduation from the hotel if it is live streamed, or on their computer if not. After graduation you can all meet up with your Sailor.

Comment by lemonelephant on August 10, 2018 at 11:23pm: Navy Sister/Mom, four guests are usually allowed, but the RTC may need to reduce it to three for a large TG. See the info in Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for.... Also check your My Page.
