OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is a short booklet, is there any way to download it here?

Hi--just got the booklet and I believe there is some mis-information about what it covers. Or else somehow I ordered the wrong book?
This is basic information about Safety at Home: how to corrrect hazards in your home. Like only one person on a ladder at a time, safey in storing and using a lawnmower, etc.
Could you please let us know if there really is an OSPEC booklet for the family at home?
Thanks!

Hi Ladies,
We just spoke with the Navy and there was a bit of miscommunication along the way. The booklet does not contain anything about OPSEC. We apologize!

The title to this blog is now updated.
