My son has beed trying to get into the Navy for close to a year now. We have hit a few stumbling blocks, I say we because I have been trying to advocate for him because of the of delay after delay with paperwork and medical issues. My son now was told he has a mild pulmonary disease. the civilian doctors say he is fine. He has to wait for a waiver, if the waiver isn't signed at his MEPS station in Miami, we are told it will have to go the the headquarters in Tenn., I wonder how long this will take. Has anyone expierenced this issue and can ease my mind.My nerves are shot.

Thank-you for your responses. I do understand what you are sayin. They did test him while he was exercising and there was not a change in a negative direction. He also plays ice hockey which is a very physical sport and has no issues. I guess we will have to hope for the best. I will reach out to Craig-veteran.

Hi Aroslin-

Our son had a a few hoops to jump thru too- he had a knee injury- had do to the same thing- passed at MEPS-

we were nervous about it- don't give up-  He is now in boot camp- All in all it took over a year and a half to accomplish everything.   Best wishes for you and your boys!
