I want to express my feelings but there is so much going on right now and I want to honor my son when my mind is a bit clearer. My son, Matthew James Bergman, will forever be the beat of my heart and my reason to believe in everything that is good and honorable. I hope everyone will bear with me as we endure his loss and I appreciate everyone who is offering support in this great time of need.

God Bless,

Melody Paxton

Thinking of you and praying for your family during this most difficult time. We all know our military children put their lives on the line, but we never really expect it or can prepare. May you find comfort and peace in your memories, and from those who surround you with love.

@Tiramisu Yes, The love and support that I feel here has given me a new sense of peace and honor for my son. I have been able to see how many moms out there need the same from me. If there is anything that I can do for anyone please let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your sailors.

Melody - I can not even begin to express what my heart is feeling..  I have laid awake so many nights now thinking about you and Matthew.  My son is of the Aviation Rescue Swimmer Brotherhood and they are deeply sorry.  Please let any or all of us know what if anything we can do at anytime!  HUGS my Navy Momma sister!
