DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

God Bless all you Navy moms whose child is starting their Navy Carreer!!

I am a Navy Mom of 20 years, now...and My son is finishing up his carreer...He will be retiring from a most loved job on March 31, 2010...I am so proud of him.....My heart swells and tears start everytime I think of the many times I waved so long to that ship or airplane as he left for his journeys....but the LORD has been good and protected him all the way...and now he is coming home....Praise the LORD!!

I still remember the day we went to his boot camp graduation in Orlando, Fl.....they told me I would not recognize him and to let him find me.,..but I recognized him from the moment he started to cross the street with his unit....I have stood on the pier and watched that ship leave and come back in so many, many times, and each time my heart would swell a little larger with pride....then he spent 5 years as a recruiter , and went on to be a MA in GTMO, Cuba, and then a Navy Investigator in Greece....and now...who knows what the LORD has in store for him? So there are many opportunities for your sons/daughters in the Navy...always stand behind them and support them and their goals....I hope they will love it as much as my son does..I think he really has web feet!!...LOL...(Proud Mom)

I can imagine how you miss him...but time will pass quickly, and there you will be...watching him graduate a "sailor"...My son went right after HS...He was 19 years old.....and within 30 days He was on his first ship - headed for the Persian Gulf - that was just before war broke out in the Gulf for the first time....there will be times when you dont hear from them for a while and that makes you worry...but stay busy and always leave them in the LORD's hands...he will shelter them.....

Thank You so much.......Yes...my son has many applications in for Police and security jobs...what He would really like to do is work for NCIS...that would be right up his alley...but I know the LORD will lead him to the perfect job...He already has it planned for him.....As he is 39 years old right now...He could work another job and retire again when he is 66....He has really been blessed....as we all have! I will always be proud of him...
