Good Monring,

I am a new to this website and blog thing. I am actually a Navy wife not mom but i figured we are all going throught the same process so any information would help me out.

My husband left for boot camp on June 27th we have an 8month old so its been kinda hard just because he is my best friend and my whole world and we did everything together which some people think is weird but we love it so it s hard not having him around but i know it  is what is best for our family and our future.

I am nervous, sad, and excited all at the same time.

Anyways im excited i found a site that will help me with questions and so fourth.

Any feedback is great thank you.

Hi Bless you and your sweet family!!! Where did your husband leave from? My son left from SA TX  on July 2nd How did you find out graduation info? I just got the dreaded box ugh no letter or information. did your forum letter come after his box? My advice is to stay busy and pray..

Hey, and thank you, well we live in IL so he left from MEPS in Wisconsin so to great lakes was only an hour, but I missed 'The im here safe call" and cried all night and havnt herd from him since then, I got the box shortly after and I just received the "form" letter yesterday that just has things filled in no writing from him just information about graduation and password for cars and so fourth. But it also had the address to send letters to him. But yes the letter came after the box he left the 27th of June and I just got the form letter yesterday July 9th. So you will probably recieve the "form" letter with all that information next week. Yes im trying to stay busy i am still working and we have an little girl that just turned 8months today so she keeps me sain and busy as well :) Thank you so much for taking the time to ask question and anything that i can answer and help out with I would be happy to dont worry I am sure you will get that letter soon I am thinking next week they say about 10 days to two weeks. Prayers are with you and  your family as well.

I've let ellen and FTLW know and the 08/30/2013 group will be up later today. Keep checking PIR 08/30/2013 TG 42 and join once it is up.

You may also want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups as well as in the PIR group. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and the page, When Will the Recruits be Paid? and Information for Spouses, will have important information for you, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

(Group names within this comment are clickable links.  To join a group, click on the group name and after the group page opens, click on “+ Join...” in the upper right.)

Hello, wow you missed the call i am sorry... My husband and i fell asleep in an exhausted heap the night he left. the few weeks before Nate (our son) left were graduation from high school and a very large send off party we hosted.... That night the call came in very late we ran into each other trying to put the speaker phone to work. next my boy reads us a scripted letter non of which we remembered he sounded like a robot and it lasted 7 seconds lol.. i blurted out" NATE I MISS YOU ALREADY" i heard one puff of his air from him and a sharp goodbye... i sobbed the rest of the night... to sum this up you really missed nothing because you would not have been able to respond to him.. I think they call again in 3 weeks random time if he has your number pick up... Enjoy that baby
