OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I'll be at that party Karen! My nephew left for boot camp on Jan 8th and trying to help my sister get thru her first experience as a Navy mom, we were spending hours on the RTC site - hoping to see his PIR date get posted or any new info! One evening - they posted a spot for Navy for Moms...we sure have spent a lot of time together since ladies!!!

Where is the party? Nation wide perhaps? I've been here since April 20, 2008. My son left for boot camp in June of same year. He was so embarrassed that I asked all these questions that other moms posted here when the recruiter came to our house.
Ooh-rah! Go Navy Moms!
