OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Good morning everyone!

Last week, Ning (the company that provides our Web space) introduced a new email verification system across all of it's networks. You may have seen the image below appear on your screen when you logged into Navy For Moms.

The reason you are being required to do this is part of Ning's attempt to cut down on the number of spammers that join their sites, including N4M.

I just wanted you all to be aware that this message is official and can be trusted so if you did not already, please be sure to verify your email address through this process.

Thanks!

Elle

If it came through, I admit I didn't pay attention since my email has not changed. Guess I need to get on top of that! Can't live without my N4M family and Elle.

If you haven't seen it, don't worry about it. :) I just wanted anyone who does see it to know why it popped up.

So I'm finding out that Ning has been having some issues with this. If you have seen the box and clicked the link to verify your email but did not receive a message in your email inbox (check spam folders too) please send me an email at navyformoms@gmail.com to let me know.
