I got the letter today! Doin' the happy dance!

My son left Oct 1st for GL. Its been a long, tearful week. I have been a basket case. Now today, I am actually smiling and so happy, relieved and feeling soooo much better! I got the form letter, with his handwriting filling in the blanks! I could have kissed it! Now I know his address, his ship and his graduation date!

Who would have thought a form letter could make me so happy?! LOL

His graduation date is Nov. 27th! The day after his sisters birthday and the day before Thanksgiving! I don't know how that will work, if he will have to fly out on Thanksgiving to Pensacola or what. I know I am grateful now, today for this blessing. It was just what I needed!

Any moms out there with a Nov. 27th PIR date? Let me know!

I am in Indiana, about 3 1/2 hours from GL. My best to all moms here! Hang in there!  xxoo

OH! TJ'S MOM, I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A SIMPLE PIECE OF PAPER COULD BE SO IMPORTANT!  IT'S COMMUNICATION!  THAT'S WHAT I HAVE MISSED SO MUCH, WE HARDLY WENT A DAY WITHOUT AT LEAST TALKING OR TEXTING.  I HOPE THEY ARE TAKING CARE OF OUR BOYS, WHEN DID YOUR SR FLY OUT?  JUST WONDERING IF THEY ARE IN THE SAME PIR GROUP. THANKS FOR BEING MY FRIEND AND MY SUPPORT THROUGH THIS ADVENTURE.  LETS STAY IN TOUCH!

Yes, exactly! Its the communication being cut off that drove me crazy! I am like you, we talked everyday. But he still lived at home with me. We were so close, it makes it even harder. But to get his letter-wow-that really helped me SO much! Even though its just a form letter, it was awesome for me. I am glad I got the letter before the box. A big sigh of relief. Now we can send our letters and cheer him on!
