Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Ten days after arrival is AVERAGE. That means that some will come before that and some after. Most will have them by two weeks after arrival, which is why we say it is fine to get the address from the recruiter if it has been at least 2 weeks since your recruit arrived and you still don't have The Form Letter. It will be coming soon.
be patient i know it's hard...it two weeks for our letter ..We received the box of his clothes first...i will friend you if you want to be friends...also look for group of mom's whose recruits left same day and when you get the letter you can join your pir group get to know some of the mom's...it helped me...i go in chat room often...first thing in morning and about 3pm in afternoon nice group of mom's on and if you have questions they can answer them.
well I am a happy girl now! The letter did come but she sent it to her sister :) Her father and I are divorced but get a long very well... while she was preparing her to leave, we would tease her as to who would get the first phone call, the package, the form letter.. She is very clever- I got the call (dad graciously gave in bc he knew I would be a mess-LOL), he got the package and the letter was sent to her sister.... Love how she thinks!!! :) She graduates on April 3rd. Now she has lots of letters headed her way from lots of people! Only 7 more Fridays- hotel and car booked, and flights will be booked by the end of the weekend! Finally feeling some relief and have an extra hop in my step :) One step closer to contact!! Woo Hoo!! And I will definitely be joining that chat room.. absolutely love this site- everyone is so incredibly helpful and nice! Have a wonderul Valentine's Day and weekend!!!!
Smart girl (she must get that from her mom).
