Hello Fellow Moms of June 12th week Recruits.
The whole No News Is Good News is so true.
I wanted to give a quick update just in case you have not received your form letter either. I spoke with my son's recruiter this morning and found out that there was not enough to make a division so that is why I have not received his form letter with his address. He did state that his projected PIR is August 4th but that will properly change to August 11th. He asked me to call him on Monday morning to see if he has an address yet. If not, he said he would looked deeper. I did ask and he confirms if my son did not pass medical, I would have heard from him by now.
Joni
Joni,
Thanks so much for your post. I am right there with you. My daughter left the 12th and I've received her box but no letter. I called the recruiter on Friday afternoon because I wanted to see if they knew she processed okay. He said she had processed fine and her PIR date is also 8/4.
I'll be so happy to get that form letter! :) Hang in there, you're in good company!
Anti M,
I will be much nicer than your words, but I will state my thoughts here, then I am moving on from this website.
First, I created the post to help others who might not feel comfortable asking questions aloud to people on here. Hmm, I wonder why they might not feel comfortable.
Second, I assume this website was for asking questions without someone such as yourself belittle him or her! Yes, I understand we must be patient, however, HE IS MY SON! I may ask all the questions I want regarding his safety. I asked questions simply because so many others mothers have posted they have received their child’s form letter who left out the same day as my son and I have a problem with my mail always getting to me.
Third, because my son's recruiter knows this HE, the recruiter asked me to contact him if I had not received anything.
I am sorry my blogs have offended you in anyway. However, please remember you could have kept on going if June 12th reference does not apply to you and your family. I was speaking to mothers of the June 12th week recruits, not you.
I am sorry, that I am not acting the way you think a mother should be. I am not frantic, I am relaying information that I received from my son’s recruiter.
Please thank your son/daughter for their service and have a wonderful day!
Joni, after reading your post my son might be in the same situation as your son. I haven't received a letter from him (depressing). My son left on June 13th. Would you let me know if you get any updates, please.
New Navy Mom 1
Sorry I am just getting this message. I received my son's form letter three weeks after he left on June 29th. I have received on letter but his third week has pass and he did not call. His letter did state he was due to call on July 3rd but the call never came. I have talked to other DIV 240 Ship 03 moms and they did not get a call either.
Joni
