My "kid in a box" arrived this morning. Who would have thought dirty clothes could smell so good! J's jeans were rolled up like I've seen written on here. Stinky sneakers....no socks, shirt or underwear so I guess those got trashed. Searched and researched his jean pockets for a note. I'd given him a peice of small note pad and pen and asked to leave in his pocket for me. Did find a receipt for a cherry coke zero that he purchased at 15:13 in Bloomington enroute. Not a note but this mamma bear will take it :) Hoping I'd get his shirt back with the cologne smell on it...but oh well.
Had planned to bag the shirt so I'd have an "ode de Jordan" bag but defintily NOT doing that with his sneakers..woowee!!!! Kinda wish I could just add water for an instant kid
Can't wait for the address to come!

We received our box today too.  He had picked out clothes to donate or trash and ended up sending them all home.  Funny you mentioned about the shirt Jordan's mom.  That was the first thing I did, smell his t-shirt. I lay it on the bed and our dog rolled around on it.  She misses him so much.  Looking forward to that first letter!

Jordan'Mom, glad you got "the box", but sorry he messed up your plans. Oh, well. You may want to keep the box to store mementos from BC and his Navy career.

Philip's mom, I invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and start checking out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there.  Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages, especially OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile) since there are some changes there that you will want to make.
