We got the mandatory phone call last night at 9:50 EST...I thought it would be later. And it was made from his cellphone, which surprised me. He must have let some others use his phone because I looked at my cellphone record and there are strange places on it around the same time. He posted a little earlier in the evening on Facebook that this would be his last post for 2 months...so, I guess his phone is now packed and on its way to GA. (I'm removing his data plan for a couple of months...saving me some money!!)

I'm so appreciative of my friends and family. I know lots of prayers are being said on his behalf. So I am confident that he is in great hands and will do well.

I think waiting for "the" letter (or a random phone call) in next several weeks is going to be the hard part. I'm so curious to know what he is doing! Right now I imagining him with his bald head, gold Navy tshirt and blue sweats (and he looks dang cute in my imagination, too!)

Moe,

good to hear you got the phone call.  If you want to know what our recruits are doing on a day to day basis, go to www.navydep.com and scroll down to the bootcamp folder.  Here's the link:

It's a good read.  I use it to follow my son's day to day experience at bootcamp--he arrived lastnight and called his mom 12 midnight--2AM GL time.
