My family received letters from my son yesterday so I was very excited to get home from work to get his letter, only to be saddened that my mail box was empty. The one thing I’ve learned from this new experience is patience. Hopefully something arrives today! The good thing is I got his address and immediately sent out a card with a short note. I use SENDOUTCARDS. So easy! I will be using SANDBOXX for my longer letters. My sons PIR is 11/30. I can’t wait to give him the biggest hug!
Hopefully you will get your letter today! You can sign up for informed delivery through the USPS and you can see what mail you are getting each day

Be sure to join the 11/30/18 PIR group:

Hang in there!
I’m signed up with the USPS and I’m waiting for approval to join the 11/30 PIR group
I just checked my informed delivery. Letter coming today! I was wondering if you have a sailor in the Nuke program? I was basing this off your user name.
Yay! Glad you have a letter coming today ;-D
My son and his GF were nukes - both are out now - using their GI Bill for college. I see you joined our nuke moms group - you'll find lots of support there.
My son will be going after BC.
I received a call from my husband from basic training on Oct 20 and we had a "catch up" conversation. He had told me that he sent out letters to me on Oct 14, but I have yet to receive any letters. I'm received the form letters already, but not the ones that he's written. Is anyone still waiting for theirs?
I received my sons form letter. His original letter he sent while in P-days was put in with a copy of other papers. He didn’t put enough postage on it so it was returned. I just received it yesterday. Other than that I haven’t received anything. I don’t expect too many letters from my son. I’m just sending tons to letters and cards to him.
I’ve been sending a ton as well to support and encourage him. Maybe I’ll get mine later than most people since I’m al the way in Southern California. What division is your son in if you don’t mind me asking?
My son is in 904. I live in N.Cali. It may have taken about a week or so. I believe they can only mail letters out on Sundays but they can receive them M-F.
