I think my son's wife lied about being pregnant to get married. They are living in San Diego and he just won't believe me. There were no ultrasound pictures with her name on them, she claimes to have miscaried the 4 mounth twins one Tuesday morning at 1 AM but worked for the following 3 days in her 12 hour shift and she doesn't know the doctor's name because it is " really hard to spell". Does anyone have any idea what is going on and how can I get this pathological liar out of our lives. I'm affraid of what else she can do. If she sets her mind up she can ruin his carreer.
You can't do anything about this woman until your son decides HE wants to do something about it. When he discovers that she has been lying, please do not say, "We/I told you so." Simply offer assistance (including paying for a lawyer) to get the divorce done asap. In the meantime, protect your son's finances. He should have limit the dollar amount on checks she can writ. He should refuse to get into debt to support a life style beyond his means. You should not name him as executor of your will. He may be the beneficiary but I would make sure the money is spend wisely. He should take on a loan to buy a house or car. The more they accumulate the more debt he will have when they break up. Sure, you can do things to catch her in the act but make sure you don't alienate her to the point that she cuts his family from his life - in which case your son will end up holding the short end of the stick. Yes, smile thru your teeth if you have to. Do whatever to stay in his life. Pick your battles. Don't let on that you can stand her and don't trust (it may be too late for that).
HE SHOULD NOT TAKE ON A LOAN TO BUY ANYTHING.
