For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Lost and Bewildered by Entire situation..
Hi all. New here. Trying to get it all straight. Little Lady in the Photo is Virina - My daughter's daughter !! Got a few letters so far, haven't had time to digest most of this. Keeping sanity on loan from the business side of brain...for enduring full time thru the florida training also....keeping little Boo happy and steady !!
Any input is appreciated. The recruiter said they had her graduation date. She left my front door on Feb 22, landed in Chicago Feb 23......and of course, I had to ask him again....to please Give it To me !! LOL em>still waiting >
when they write these graduation date formats I have no idea what training Group, but she's Ship 10, Div.165 (combined with Div 166). So what are the (08) , etc. Help. I need a 'legend' to de-code this stuff !!

Oh heavens, yes. What it sounds like - is - she allocated 90% of her Pay to Here in Pgh.PA, and didn't 'keep' enough in her navy credit union allocation to cover it as an extra. I have my own sources here, and would order by visa card.
On that note, is there any way other than changing payroll paperwork, that I can get money TO her, and she can stick it into her acct. There ?? I asked hubby, and he says he don't think so - in boot camp - Maybe once she's off to Florida side of stuff. I dunno ?

all righty then. first - how'd you know the date ? second - If I call there I wonder if they'd order it via my visa card in her name ? don't have an email for great lakes. only these telephone numbers and webistes.

okie dokie. the spiel I got in response to my letter from last week telling her go ahead and order them was : 'and just where am i gonna pay for 'em, outta my (blank)' which tells me she thinks she allocated her pays wrong and sent way too much this way for baby, and didn't keep 'enough up there for these kinda things.
BUT - I found a direct answer on this site : http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/faq.asp and it stated directly to verify it's Not already ordered, then provide yada yada info and an email to send request to.
Excellent. I will sleep like a rock tonight. Question answered.
