My fiancé received her letters the day after I sent them, so far no problems. It does take a while to receive their letter back, I’d say that’s the only downfall.

I have been using Sandboxx since my son left for RTC on 11/7/18. I have only rec'd 1 personal letter from him, but I just keep typing away in the app sending him letters. The app was actually recommended by his recruiter multiple times. So, I have to assume it is a good way to communicate.

Hi we use it and he didn’t get in trouble for it. I know they frown upon it once they are out of bootcamp because it puts their personal info out there with a third party. =)

My son asked me  to use Sandboxx because it was fast.  He was right.  I could send a letter and it would get to him in 2-3 days.  Regular mail took over a week.  Sandboxx sorts the mail by Division before they overnight it.  It doesn't have to sit in the mailroom to be sorted.  They also included envelopes for my son to use in return.  I bought the 15 letter pack.  Loved their service!

I haven’t used sandboxx, but I received something similar in bootcamp called Postagram. It wasn’t an issue, and I loved it. As long as it doesn’t reference any sex, drugs, violence, or intolerance of any kind, any kind of paper mail, including photos is fine. Just no packages except pocket address books or pocket religious text. There really isn’t a need to send religious texts though unless you practice a more obscure religion or your sailor is very religious and would appreciate a more personal copy, there is variety of texts available for free at the chapel.
