OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

My son left me today, but he did not leave by land.

He took off by air, looking back at me saying, "Don't

worry MOM I have a plan.

"Am going to join the NAVY just you wait and see, I

will make you so proud of me.

As he hugged me tight one last time he took a part

                   of my soul.

Deep down inside of me he left a great big hole.

I tried to keep busy by writing him everyday.

Counting down the hours as they slipped away.

I must have closed my "EYES" too long for he was

                   grown before I knew it.

I just kept praying "DEAR GOD" please help me

                   through it.

Am going to see him on graduation day my little boy..

                   NO MORE!

For he has become a sailor man and to the sea his

                   soul will soar.
