All I want is to just get my first letter already! My boyfriend arrived at bootcamp on November 1st and I miss him more and more with each passing day. I write him everyday even though I can't send it yet but it gives me comfort in a way. All I can do is just look at our pictures and reread his old ( i love you ) texts. My birthday was on the 14th and not being able to be with him killed me. My moms birthday present is to fly me to Chicago for his graduation!! I can't wait to see his handsome face <3

Has his family received the form letter with his address and PIR date?  That  form letter also lists the four people who he intends to list on the Access List.  Most with recruits who arrived on that date have received the form letter.  He will most likely have PIR on 12/28/2012.  That is great that your mom gave you that gift.  I'm sure you will be getting a letter soon since he should be able to write tomorrow.

You may wish to join, or at least check out, Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors, Boot Camp Girlfriends, Boot Camp Mom's, PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here.

You may also want to join the group, PIR 12/28/2012 TG 7 - 8 Divisions (039 - 044, 906 & 907), because unless he was held over in P-days for some reason, that is his PIR date.

Hello there lemon! ;)  My son left for bootcamp Oct. 1 and we didn't get a personal letter from him until close to 3 and half weeks. We did get a formal letter that was just signed by him with the list of people (4 only) allowed to go to graduation about two weeks into it. So anyway, no worries. Though it's so tough waiting, you will get your letter soon. :) Hang in there.
