Hi,

Just got approved to join this site, so happy.  My son Evan went to boot camp on 6-20-13 and his graduation date is 8-16-13.  Anyone else's child arrived and graduation the same date?

I missed his call on saturday but he left me a voicemail, I cried when I heard it, he is so homesick but he did say the training is going well.

Hi,

My son also left on 6/20 and graduates on 8/16.  I got his call on Saturday as well.  He sounded tired and home sick.  I hope things get better and his excitement comes back.  I miss him like crazy!  He left 11 days after his high school graduation.  My son is on ship 14 division 307. I was hoping this site would help my deal with all this a little better.  Hope it helps you as well.

Hi,  Evan graduated high school May 31st so I know how you feel. on the form letter we received it stated ship 13 and division 307 but I think it changed to ship 14.  What is your son's first name?  what state are you from?  I booked our hotel at the Ramada inn and we will arrive there August 15th.  I think this site will help me too

My son's name is Kellen and we are from Texas.  Same thing with us on the ship numbers. We will be driving up since my husband doesn't like to fly. As long as I get to be there, it doesn't matter to me.  Because of the drive, we will be getting in on the 14th.  Too bad I can't see him then.

Join the group, PIR 08/16/2013 TG 40 - 13 Divisions (299-310, and 940), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR. Know that Divisions 307 and 308 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. There is a discussion within that group for the two divisions. Note that your form letter may have indicated 4 guests, but there will only be 3 guests since the TG has 13 divisions. See http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp.

You may also want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups as well as in the PIR group. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

Hi Carmen,

Yes I made our reservations at the Ramada.  We will arrive on 8-15-13.  Me, my hubby and daughter are attending the PIR.  We have alot of other family that would love to come to but he can only have 3 guests.  I have a sister that lives 1 hour north of the base so they may come down on saturday the 17th and hang with all of us while Evan is on Liberty.
