My son is leaving to Navy Bootcamp next Tuesday Sept 24th. I simply can't imagine him not being here. I get teary eyed and very emotional just thinking about him leaving. He's a great young man and I'm so very proud of him. I just need to figure out a way to keep it together. I fully plan on having my teary moments and I think I'm allowed to feel this way. My tears come from his absence but also from a sense of being immensely proud of him and his accomplishments. I'll make it through this just like all of you have done! It's just nice to see others feel like I do. Thanks for being there and sharing your stories. God bless you all!

My daughter left on the 10th. For the first 3 days after I cried just thinking about her. :) I'm doing better now but I miss her like crazy and hope she is doing ok. She has always been a tough girl, the hardest part for her I know was her leaving us. The hardest part I think for me is not knowing and having to wait! I'm ready to send her my letters and talk to her to remind her again about what a strong, courageous and beautiful girl she is :)
