I know your mothers heart! My son is leaving next week. I haven't stopped crying! I believe it will get easier especially once you get to go see him!

I really hope it gets easier. I find myself looking in his room and it makes it worse. It will definitely be hard when he leaves, but will be worth it in the end!

my daughter left on Monday and i have been crying everyday, she finally call me today. i was so happy but the call lasted only about 10 sec. but they were the best 10 sec for a mom to hear her child voice.

Hi Latetia - my son left yesterday as well so they must have arrived at the same time. I am struggling as well but trust that this is good evidence that we have raised honorable young men! I find myself crying today because I am overwhelmed with emotion but mostly because I am so proud of him.

Hi Latetia - it does get easier.  My baby girl left 5 weeks ago, they have gone by pretty fast.  She graduates from bootcamp on the 26th.  The first two weeks were the hardest, then you will get periodic phone calls which are the absolute best and letters.  My advice to you is to write, write and write more.  She says the letters keep her going.

Thank you ladies for the kind words and advice I appreciate it. I'm so glad I found this site and it's comforting to know I'm not the only one who feels this way!I received his scripted call at 1145 last night he sounded so sad it broke my heart but I know he will do fine!
