My son left for Boot Camp on August 16, 2012. He called last week and said he was on Ship 3 and Division 338; however, I have not received his form letter with his address or Graduation date as of yet. I did receive his "box".... I was wondering if anyone else s "kid"- "son or daughter" has the same ship number, ship off date????? He also mentioned that he was in P-days for two weeks instead of one due to waiting for more recruits... Looking forward to hearing from someone.
Join the group, PIR 10/12/2012 TG 48 - 14 Divisions (327-338, 822 & 948. Know that divisions 337 and 338 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so watch for others with loved ones in either division.
I see you have joined Boot Camp Mom's; you may also want to join, or at least check out, PIR Reference Information and New Members Stop Here. There will be a lot of information for you in thos groups as well.

That division has PIR on 10/12/2012. The training at the RTC is actually only 6 weeks so the extended P-days does not affect that. From what you said, he is in a Push Division and some of those with him will only be at BC for 7 to 7 1/2 weeks rather than the just over 8 weeks (typical is 8 1/2 weeks) that your SR wwill be there.
I answered about the form letter following another of your replies. (See http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/forum/topics/i-finall....)
Thank you....
You are so welcome.
my son is ship3 div338 and yes it is a push div my son got to rtc on aug 20 i got the form letter and the one phone you know im here im safe call you in 3 weeks call that it so far maybe this weekend i hope
Since your SR gave you the Division number, you know the PIR date is 10/12/2012. Go ahead and start making plans to attend PIR. That date has been confirmed by others who have received the form letter.
His address is:
SR Last Name, First Name MI
Ship 3 Division 338
3600 Ohio Street
Great Lakes, IL 60088-3156
If you are still unsure..I would contact his/her recruiter...my son's recruiter called me with address and graduation date long before I got THE letter...that way you can start making your plans for graduation...Good Luck
lemon elephant has the right address and dont stress start writing him it will make you and him feel better hand in there before you know it we will be in GL busting with pride
