Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son is in A school and needs a little money. How can I get the money to him and the quickest way. He has an account with Navy Federal.

They should let you make a deposit w/o the # as long as you can verify the name and address on the acct. They'll let you put $$ in but you can't take it out unless you are on the acct!

Comment by calliecl on June 18, 2014 at 9:24am: You can wire money through western union. I think you can even do it online. If you have an American Express card they let you wire up to 500 without a fee. Does your son have a navy federal credit card? What they will allow you to do is call navy federal and make a payment on the credit card. I just did this last month and it worked fine. He had some money stolen from the ship and we were able to help him his credit card bill
