Hi all,

My son left for basic training on the 19th of this month!! (Fathers Day) I've gotten the phone call to let me know they made it to Illinois safely, Thank God., What I havent received yet is the package of things they send home. Either way, Im starting to miss him, after thinking I would strangle him if he stayed in the house any longer... LOL Anyone else going through this? Share....

Same here.

We'll all  get through this together. Afterall, its not like we're sending our babies off to prison. (This is what I keep having to remind myself) If I could have seen into the future at their age, I would have gone into the military myself, and been retired by now...

So happy for you Msjnette! It's been 7 days. I haven't received anything. How long did it take to get his box again?

Comment by Msjnette on June 28, 2011 at 11:37am

We received the box on Thursday. I thought that was kinda fast too. I was told I would receive it in about 2 weeks....

HooHah!!!

We received two letters in the mail today!! Both dated for different days, which tells me that they are not being sent out as soon as they are written. Either way, we were happy to get them!!!!

Reading those letters, I guess basic training is for the young!!  LOL
