For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

New Navy Mom looking for guidance

Hi everyone! I am a new Navy (step) Mom and I am new to all this and am looking for some guidance. My stepson left for boot camp on December 13th. I recently managed to get his address of his ship from his recruiter and i will be sending my first letter to him. I was wondering if there is anything else i can mail to him yet or do i have to wait until after boot camp? Is he able to make phone calls while in bc? We still haven't received a call from him. I would love some friendly advice about how this all works and any tips on what i can do to help him during bc is greatly appreciated!!

I sent a couple of pictures in one letter, a calling card in another and some stamps in another... I know that when you write to him, keep the encouragement words flowing. They really need to know you support them... Have you found out when his graduation is? My son said that his is Feb. 11th.. What Ship and Division is your son in? Mine is ship 69 and div 070. Keep writing him no matter what. He needs those letters..

Comment by himmiemom on December 28, 2010 at 2:24am: I cut out a comic and tape it to the bottom of the letter for every day I write him. I usually write 3 days in a letter. So he gets 3 comics in his letter. I put stamps in his letters and some photos.
