Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son has been at boot camp for almost 2 weeks. really missing him. Would love to have a letter from him.. hang in there. we are all here for you.

I know how you feel. We all go through many emotions, have good and bad days, wonder if they are ok, doing well, passing everything and wondering if they are happy. I can't tell you to not worry because we are Moms and that's what we do. But do know that they are being well taken care of. My daughter LOVED BC! She would do it again! She is now at her first duty station(1 1/2 months now), has been home to visit, we have been there to visit her (went during A School), calls or text me everyday, loves her rating (air traffic controller), has met many good friends, has plans for college courses in aviation (when she is able to) and not once has she regretted her decision to join the Navy.
Before you know it your daughter will be done with BC and at A School. You will be able to talk/text often. Communication gets so much better!
I know it's hard not hearing from your recruit but remember: "No news is good news!"
