Anyway I put in a friend request to you thought we could keep in touch share info. My son is Nick. 19 from Salem Oregon.

Let me know what you know, we are hoping to go to the graduation if we can.

Alvarezmom, I got mine on tues 24th at 10:10 my time they are 2 hours ahead, it was literally 10 secs and I could hear lots of talking in the back ground. Nick was very short, about 4 sentences, then gone. Hang in there he will call. Where did your son leave from?

Jenideer he left from Louisville Kentucky. Everyone keeps telling me no news is good news. It was his diets flight guess I just wanted to hear from him. Staying strong in front of others, I cry in private or alone. Everyone thought I would fall apart, I won't let them know I am inside.

Jenideer, I called the recruiter & he was able to look up the information from the computer. I read on this web site the recruiter may not be correct, but at this point I have nothing else to go on. he seems like a nice guy - so I'm going with it for now. Besides everyone makes mistakes, if it turns out it's a mistake I'll go from there to correct it. Yes, her first day was 23rd. Maybe they are in the same SHP/DIV!

Coastieet, Nick arrive on Tues late evening so maybe they are, our recuiter told us if we did not know where Nick was we could call him on friday and  he would let us know. He even gave us his card. So think that is ok. They should have direct access.

Let me know if your daughter knows a Nick from oregon, that would be fun, are you going to try to go to the PIR?

Alvarezmom hang in there it will be ok! I try have hard this feeling I just cant shake. I know though they will make my boy into a nicer young man.

Jenideer, they may not know if they know each other for a few days :), but maybe by the end. I will mention it in a letter to her. Funny thing how the military becomes a 'small world'! As far as the yelling - I think the challenge will be worth it in the end. They were ready, now they have to go through it!
