No, it has moved and Fort Lee, VA is the only location for CS A School at this tme. Your Sailor will most likely fly out the day after PIR, so you will want to plan to leave either late Saturday or on Sunday so that you will have the most time with him. Make sure to send him a note card toward the end of BC so he can write down his flight details for you to give you after PIR. This way you can meet him at the airport and give him his cell phone, other electronics, snacks, and some comfort clothes (favorite underwear are a frequent request since they really don't like the tighty whities) to put in his black backpack and spend time with him until his flight.

do they use Ohare right. and do you hav an idea if they usaully fly monings or afternoons or nights?they can have all that and what black do i buy one or he will have it ?  oh yea i heard that u or parent can go with him to flight to spend time but how many do they allow with pass to wait?

Comment by lemonelephant on September 4, 2012 at 4:30pm

Your Sailor could fly out of O'Hare or Midway.  The Sailors all arrive at the airports in the wee hours of the morning regardless of when the flight is, so some Sailors are only at the airport a short time while others are there several hours (I've seen 4:30 am flights and 5:15 pm flights).  Only your Sailor will know his particular flight details.  Know that Sailors going to the same A School may be on different flights and even fly from different airports depending on flight availability.  Your Sailor will have the black backpack.  You will have to find out about the gate pass at the ticket counter for the airline your Sailor flies from.
