You will receive the  letter about 10 days after your Recruit arrives at RTC. Patience.

Sending prayers and well wishes your way today and forever! Before long you'll get your form letter! Then the excitement begins for planning. They send a brochure with hotels nearby, and eat. Make sure you come on here and get the support you need to stay sane on the rollercoaster ride of emotions. LOL It's all good though! Navy Mom Strong! HOOYAH!

The letter can sometimes take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive for some.  That is not the norm, but has happened in past groups.....you can always call the recruiter to get address info, but check it with the form letter once it arrives.  Occasionally there are a few differences (such as a division moving to another ship).  The division number is the important part, and that is usually the same....the letters written to the recruiter's address, will therefore eventually find your SRs, even if street address was wrong.

Julie-jake, You may be able to get his mailing address from his recruiter. That is what I did. My son shipped out 10/20 and I had his address the afternoon of 10/21, so that I could begin sending him letters right away. I found that I could pour my angst into writing those letters, (while keeping them positive, upbeat, and funny so as not to distress him further), but it really helped my distress level to be able to mail him every day. My son had been gone 26 days and I have sent 26 letters to him:)
