Heard from my son, I am so very happy. I was so worried about him but he saids he loves it and likes the challenge. Thank you God for giving him such a positive attitude, it takes so much anxiety off of my shoulders. I know the rest of the Navy mom's worry. My message to you all is stay positive, they might just like it. Stay in prayer to give you the comfort you need right now. I thought I knew my son, I thought he would struggle and be miserable, what a blessed gift to find out I was wrong. Hang in there, I hope your phone calls are as uplifting as mine!

I'm so glad it was a positive phone call. I know it definitely is a relief to hear he is in good spirits. I am sending a letter out to my son today. I am hoping he listens to my asking him to call. I would love to hear his voice. So glad you were able to talk with your son.

Congrats on your first "real" phone call! Glad to hear he was so positive and happy. My son's calls were the same way, and it really was a blessing to know they were not miserable! :)

TY for posting here - really helps me. Our SR got there late last night and we did get the call. I know I have to be patient... question, how long will they get for the call at 3 weeks?

the bee - there is not a set amount of time for the calls.  Just depends on how many divisions are making calls, etc.  Best thing is to write things down that you want to talk about so you don't forget!  And definitely keep it positive and upbeat!

Also, be sure to join the boot camp group.  I left the link in the welcome message on your page.  You'll find answers to most of your questions there ;-D
