Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Letter came today! PIR date of March 24th. RSVP'd to Sarges Meet and Greet! Now it feels as though the wheels are finally in motion, now I can deal with the separation knowing that I can communicate via letters! So excited for this!

Hi mangofruit. I am feeling the same way; my heart is happy. You just reminded me about Meet and Greet

Hi, I am very new to social media so I am trying to navigate all these sites.  How long did you have to wait for the form letter.  It has been 10 long days and still nothing,

Proudmom...sorry for delayed response. I received my sons letter 7 days after he arrived at RTC and his box about 5/6, box came first. You will do fine with this site as there are so many helpful people to guide you as well as being packed with information. When I first joined this group I spent most of my time clicking on all the different links and reading a lot! I did this prior to asking questions as you tend to see the same one repeatedly due to so many new members joining and it seemed easier to peruse the site and find my own answers. I also joined the Navy for Dads web page looking to get a different perspective and a Dads point of view. If I can help with anything at all let me know and I will do my best. I tend to lurk more than engage in conversation as my schedule doesn't permit me to be on when other moms are chatting. Looking forward to hopefully meeting a fellow mom at the meet and greet! Have a great day!
