HI I am Diane Shawns mom.....
I have been on this site, well for a year now....
And yes I am a member of "gooof trooop' and DAM proud.
the members of this group have grown to be a family. We know everything about each other, spouse, sailors and even the family pet..Most of us have travel the country just to meet one another and truly care about the everyday goings on in each other life. We stand by each other when our lives get real difficult. I truly do not see the wrong in finding true friendship here. This is what i have come to find.
The group was created so the few of us could find a place to chat and vent. We are NOT slimy dirty people. We DO NOT trash moms and their sailors...We laugh-we cry-we stay on the computer WAY to much..but really love each other as sister and would be there in a moments notice if one of us needed something. And that is what this website "was" about, at least when I joined
The mud slinging and trash talking has got to stop..
We must agree to disagree.

I have never "butted" heads with anyone on here..I hold my tongue and let people have their opinion..Whether i agree or disagaree.
I think we need to talk a long look in the mirror and see what has become of this site and us....

gooof trooop is a loving place where any time of the day....I can come and laugh and should it be that way, without the trash talking from outside groups..that is why the group is "private"....and it is sad that it has to come to that...But it is a reality.

Let the fun begin...Trash talk me all you want....but i have said my peace....and I think some should "make their peace"

Well said Spongie!! I can send one text (and have many times) and receieved replies from coast to coast - top to bottom of both sides of the US and some inbetween!! Time zones are a pain sometimes. When we had two inches of snow in southeast Texas, I sent my mass text in my excitement. My Louisiana mom reminded me that I just sent it to the West coast at 4:00 AM!!!

There are MANY different walks of life represented here - and I don't like the chat room when the new wives and girlfriends are crying about missing their hubby's. I try to console them and then head on over to my other friends chat!! Glad you are there!
