Just realized that everyone must think I'm a total backwards hick. Well, they're 1/2 right :-) But we raise pretty good kids - in fact, we raise Sailors! (to-be, I know, but c'mon - I'm excited!!!) (and I've NEVER blogged before, so this is COOL for me!) Hey, my chinese fortune said that those who laugh at themselves are not laughed at by others.....makes sense.......but I figure if I can have y'all laughin' with me, then that's even better!!! :-) ...see if this blog thing works...

Not only are we learning Navy, we're learning computer too! Fun times ladies! You know, for the first time in a long time, I am really being able to take each day and savor it. It feels good! Making new friends, and my dear son leaving me has forced me to be more than just his mom, but also start looking at my life too - funny how life works it's little mysteries out for us?! :-) I knew God was amazing, and tells us he has plans for us, but what an awe-some thing when it becomes something you really see and realize. Apprehension just starts melting away! (no drugs, honestly! :-) ) Well - make it a great day everyone, I'm off to get back to work!

I thought for sure there would be a letter in the mailbox after work yesterday - nope. :-( This morning I half way decided to not even check the mailbox anymore - or to just KNOW there's not going to be a letter - but we have to hope, right? I HOPE my SR is getting my mail. I HOPE it brings a smile to his face and encourages him. I HOPE he is doing well and is not sick or hurt. I HOPE he is achieving his goals and so very proud of himself! I HOPE he sends me a letter and fills me in on all this!!!! I HOPE he is as thrilled to see us on PIR day as we will be to see him! But right now, I really just HOPE I get a letter or a call from him SOON!
Thanks for listening y'all! Love & Hugs, HOPE everyone has a great day!

NavyStrong - right? I need to put up a sign to remind myself!! Well all - I have to get to it - hope to jump online tonight and tell everyone there was a letter!!
In the meantime - y'all be good - feel the love - and again, Thank you! HUGS - me.

OK - thank goodness it's only a 4 hour drive for us! Getting down to the wire: done @ 5 tonight, have to bake cookies, pack the 13 year old, double check everything (duh) :-), finish laundry, make arrangements for the dog, make Division posters, vaccume, dust, ...um, re-do my list I am sure....
OK - then Tomorrow: Work till 5, confirmation from 6 - 8:00, go home, make HUGE batch of Fried Chicken to take to SR (Sailor by then!!), finish up whatever, TRY to get some sleep (not likely, he'll be doing BS) and get ready to head out on Thursday morning!! Oh yeah, and get #2's school work together and printed out...
It's OK - it will all either get done or not - but either way, we're heading to Great Lakes in 1 day and 18 hours - Yay!!!!
