My daughter left out for Chicago on August 5th.  I'm so proud of my baby.  I tried not to cry, but it didn't go as planned.  My daughter has set the bar high for her other siblings and cousins that are still in school.  Redd will be and do great things!!!!

I can hardly wait until I hear from her.......this not talking to her is really killing me :(  I'm waiting patiently for her box to come so I can start writing her.

FYI - The box will NOT have her mailing address, that's in the form letter that you will receive about 10 days after her arrival at boot camp. Hang in there!

Not cool :(

I was hoping it would have something so I could start writing her.  This is the longest we've ever gone without speaking :(

The letter with her information will come right on time!  Trust me!  Been there!  Hang in there! It will get better! :)

Thank you!!  We are very close and this not talking to her is not helping me cope throughout the day!!

I do understand! I'm very close to son as well. During those letters and times with no phone calls brought us closer. And it allowed me to appreciate our time together!

Congratulations on your daughter joining the Navy!! My son also left the SAME day as your daughter! I got his "box" Tuesday and as CryptoDad said.. Nothing else was in it.. :( So now I'm waiting on the Form letter. I wish it would come soon.. I have written 8 letters and they are backing up! LOL! More to help him keep from getting homesick I guess! But, I understand the "NO" communication thing. My son has never in his entire life NOT been able to reach me and likewise with him! It has made this Momma a nervous wreck! I'm confident that he is safe and sound. I just want to "hear" him telling me that he is!! Best of luck! Hope you hear from her soon or you get your Form letter! :)

Thank you Samantha & CONGRATULATIONS to you as well!!!  I got the "Box" on Tuesday too, and it brought me to tears.  I was hoping I would find a little hidden note from her telling me everything is cool and that she loves me.......no such luck:(  She gets to write this week.....I'M SUPER EXCITED!!!  This is the longest me and my daughter have gone without talking as well,  I really want to hear her voice telling me....Mother I Love You and I'm fine.

Thank you for the words of encouragement!!  It really means a lot :)
