Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Remember Highschool Football Stadium Seats?
I am so glad I haven’t donated or disposed of the stadium seats I used for highschool and college games. Packing three for trip to PIR. Yes...taking 2 extra for my SR’s father and aunt.
Have spoken with with my son 3 times today. He warned me about the bleachers at PIR and be prepared to walk a lot. I’m very practical. I may near my muck boots for the track to the graduation the put on my nicer shoes once I arrive. Maybe I will purchase a clear vinyl bag to carry them in.
oh well, back to packing. We are moving the weekend after graduation. Busy life. Busy wife. Happy Thanksgiving y’all!!!!!

You probably wont be seating much it is mostly a standing ovation kind of event but you should arrive early when the gates open at 6:30 AM so you get a good seat and for that reason sure stadium seats might be handy (I did not see any while at the PIR).
