For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My SR had been gone for a little over two weeks, and it has been the hardest two weeks ive ever experienced. I am more than proud of him and i understand he needed to call his mom with his one minute phone call because well its his mom and he didnt really have much time to talk anyway. I also understand that its only the begining of week 3 and a letter should come anytime now and i just need ot be patient but i honestly am having a really hard time dealing with all of my emotions. I have been with him for 4 and half years and i honestly dont know what to do with my time since i had spent so much time with him and with out him here i have so much extra time. I see him every where i go and i write to him twice a day because he is very much my best friend and its hard not being able to just call him and tell him about my day. He is doing this so that we can have a life together and im so proud of him and love that he wants to do what ever he can to give me the life in the end that he thinks i deserve but that is a really big picture for me to wrap my head around and for now i just feel every lonely. Then to know i will probably only get a day with him after bootcamp and then he has to go off to florida and i live on the other side of the country and need to finish school here before i can think about moving because im only about a year out. So from my perspective i dont get to be with him really for about a year and i just dont kno how to deal with it and normally i lean on him to help me through these hard things but he isnt around. well if anyone has any advice or any good ideas on how to pass the time that would be nice. otherwise thanks for letting me vent
