where do i get the form to adopt for Christmas

Comment by liltxnavymom on December 2, 2015 at 1:43pm

Ok, lemonelephant told me to look for a form and I noticed that another person said the SR has to fill it out and send it to us, but we are so far away I am thinking my daughter is not sending to us because she knows we will be up within 2 weeks for the PIR. So am I to understand that Adopt a sailor is for her own family is to do this otherwise she will be available to another family close by to have the opportunity to be adopted? And does the family come get them and take them off base? Can they designate a specific family to do so? If so I have family close by that I can come get her for that. Hope she does send me the letter or form but if she doesn't is there anything we can do?

Sorry for the delay...I'll have to look at my settings as I don't think I am getting notified about BLOG comments.

Glad you found the link...it does have most of the info you need. The rest of the details come in the Adopt a Sailor form that the Recruit sends home.
