For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

sailor: ship 11 div 197, i have questions
i have a question that i need to ask someone who is married to a sailor or will be, or is a sailor
this is my first blog so hang with me.
me and my boyfriend are new to this military thing, he said before he left that he wanted to marry me and that we would be married or at least engaged by the end of the year.
so my question is: if we want to be married, in the best time possible so that i may join him in his travels or at least be able to live with him asap, when would be the time to do it? to plan it, we are planning on doing a justice of the peace, then later after all of his duty's are finished we will have a wedding then....
any thoughts and helpful hints are welcome :)

Make sure you line up all your important information now: your SSN card, your state ID.drive'rs license, and at least one certified true copy of your birth certificate (not your original). Don't wait until the last minute, or DEERS could be a problem.

I was able to get the license on Friday after his graduation and transition to his school there in Great lakes. We were able to get married Saturday by 10:15 am. and spent the rest of our time with him that weekend until Sunday afternoon. He was not able to spend the night with us but we did pick him up every morning dark and early, and dropped him off as late as possible. We did have too sign him out every time too...i'll answer questions if anybody has them at a future time and day :)
