OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey new moms (and dads, wives, etc), read a few of the responses to other blogs, forum discussions. In all likelihood, your question would have been answered. It will take a little time to get adjusted to being a military family (and to this site). It's OK to be emotional right now. Accept it. Let the tears come. But also take time to do a little research. Here is a list of the most recent PIR groups.  Good luck to all.

Click on the underlined links below - you'll be taken to sites for Navy For Moms groups associated with the particular PIR date.  Div 292 probably has Sept 14 PIR.  Div 272 - PIR Aug 31. Good luck to your recruits.

                  PIR: Sept 14, 2012           TG 44 -

                   PIR: Sept 7, 2012            TG 43 -

                   PIR: Aug 31, 2012           TG 42 - 12 Divisions (269 - 278, 818 & 942)

                   PIR: Aug 24, 2012           TG 41 - 9 Divisioins (261 - 268 & 941)

                   PIR: Aug 17, 2012           TG 40 - 13 Divisions (249 - 260 & 940)

                   PIR: Aug 10, 2012           TG 39 -  9  Divisions (241 - 248 & 939)

                   PIR: Aug 03, 2012            TG 38 - 11 Divisions (231 - 240 & 938)

                   PIR: July 27, 2012            TG 37 - 6 Divisions (227 - 230, 817 & 937)

Matt's Mom, looks like your PIR date is Aug 28, click on the underlined link, it'll take you to that group's page. Then click "+JOIN" on the upper right. You'll feel right at home.
