Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Look forward to hearing about his progress. Hope we'll see a PIR photo w you smiling - which I am sure you will. Nuke school, prototype etc. will be challenging but the rewards are there.
My son is a nuke officer on a sub. His commitment will end next March.

Good afternoon Navy mom's, with sadness I to sent my son off to Great Lakes for boot camp about a week ago and soon after cam the flow of tears. But with a few word of encouragement from family and friends I know that my son left here a boy and will come back a man. When he choose the Navy as the branch of service he wanted to join I was honored and very proud. I know the next few weeks will be challenging for him,but I am confident that he can handle it.

I got her box today! I could not believe my eyes when I went home for lunch. I kept thinking what in the world did I order. Then by the time I reached the back door and unlocked it, I felt myself running to the front porch. No tears...this is all good!

Our sons are in the same ship and division! My son arrived in GL on Monday 8/8. Sending my first letter to him tomorrow!!!

My baby boy left Tuesday too! Maybe they met there, I have the same look in my photo; My in-laws said i looked sad. I was just so full of every emotion at once.
