Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Son wanting to join Nay
We live in Queens, New York and i am looking for a group of newbies that he could train with before he goes to boot camp.
He is a little overweight and i feel this is holding him back. He called his recruiter twice with no return phone call and i'm afraid he is not going to go forward.

i appreciate that and am looking forward to him going in, he hasn't received his diploma yet and has three weeks of summer school to go through, so he'll sign up and then do dep, thanks i'll keep in touch

Thanks we're actually talking about doing weight watchers for a couple of weeks and really getting the junk food out of the house, he just turned 18 and would love for him to go in this year and get a good start, i told him to do the DEP thing where he could be with others for encouragement, thanks

The recruiter called me on Saturday and said that Zach's recruiter had foot surgery and that they will be getting a group together to work out and talk about the medical, thanks for all of your support and I will update you as we go, he still has three weeks of summer school to cover, physics!! Pray...

My son just arrived in boot camp today. He was in the DEP program as well. He was about 30-35 lbs overweight also. We live in PA and his recruiter and staff were great with working with the kids. He cut out the junk food and late night eating and started running and working out with the recruiter. Trust me, nothing major and not running every day. He had to watch what he ate and how much. It worked!
