My son left from Tampa on the 11th also, haven't received his box or letter yet.
My son left on the 11th from Spokane. I haven't received the box yet. Getting anxious to mail that pile of letters and hear from him. The nerves are getting to me....my back is starting to cramp up from them. Got a good workout today though. LOL . . . . looking forward to getting to know you all better. Live is rough right now, but it should get better (so I hear).
PIR for those arriving last week will most likely be 06/07/2013. Some of those arriving on Monday and Tuesday may have PIR on 05/31/2013. You will need to wait on the form letter to know the PIR date for sure.
In the meantime, if you haven't done so already, join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in April, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.
You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

Hi Melanie - my daughter left Spokane Wa on Tuesday, May 10, and I got my call at 9:45pm CST that night. I have received her box but still waiting for the letter. I am working off of the assumption that her PIR is 06/07/2013 so I can be sure. Her recruiter actually called me the next day and told me the division she was in (although that can change during PIR), but I am sure from some other experienced Mom's that they had her division number inverted. So I feel like I am in limbo waiting for that darn letter! It is great to connect with some Mom's whose kids arrived the same day/week as mine.
I received my son's box today, anxiously awaiting the letter so I can get some mail sent to him. I didn't realize how difficult it would be not being able to talk with him to see how he is doing.
Should I purchase an long distance calling card for him to send with the first letter?
If your recruit did not take a calling card to BC, you may want to send him one or ones from http://callsforrecruits.org/. See Phone Cards and Phone Calls for more information.
Oh, Jaime 300024 . . . I just made the connection about who you are - AFTER reading your email. I've talked to so many people on here that I'm getting confused. I'll have to remember YOU though since we are so close to each other and will more than likely have the same PIR date. Like you, I am extremely anxious for that form letter. I've gone ahead and sent a letter though. Just in case!
Everyday goes by it gets harder . I guess its the not knowing. Miss my son at the dinner table . Did not know this was going to be this hard.
